Beylikdüzü Private Lenovo Service Laboratory

The same fault symptom does not require the same repair process for every Lenovo computer.

Lenovo computers' motherboard power design, Type-C charging integrated circuits, display (eDP) connector pins, and cooling (thermal block) architecture vary significantly depending on the series (Legion, LOQ, ThinkPad, etc.) and sub-model code. For example, a "Lenovo laptop won't turn on" complaint can stem from a range of hardware issues, from a simple BIOS error to a serious power supply chip or graphics card (GPU) short circuit.

Instead of performing generic part replacements during the initial inspection, we focus directly on the responses on your Lenovo motherboard using thermal cameras and professional equipment (e.g., Quick 861DE stations). This allows us to avoid unnecessary motherboard replacement costs and perform targeted and budget-friendly component (micro-soldering) repairs.

What is the Lenovo MTM (Machine Type Model) number?

MTM identifies the factory-original hardware variation of your Lenovo computer. A battery or display panel purchased online may look similar externally but be completely incompatible in terms of voltage or pin configuration (30/40 pins). Providing the MTM information (e.g., 82K2...) found on the label under the device during service registration is critical so we can provide you with a 100% compatible original replacement part.

82K2025WTX This is an example of an IdeaPad Gaming MTM display. It's written on the bottom of your device. (For security reasons, do not share the Serial Number/SN)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The most frequently asked questions on Google about Lenovo repair.

Here we've answered your questions about warranties, repair times, and Lenovo-specific malfunctions. If you have a different question, you can contact us immediately using the MTM number.

How much does Lenovo laptop repair cost? How is the price determined?

Pricing will vary entirely depending on the extent of the fault (whether it's a simple Type-C socket replacement or a CPU power supply short circuit) and the cost of replacement parts (in foreign currency) according to your Lenovo MTM number. Following an initial diagnosis, you will receive a transparent repair quote; no paid repairs will be carried out without your approval.

Are you looking at Lenovo computers that are still under warranty?

Unauthorized hardware modifications may void your device's official Lenovo warranty. If your device is still under warranty (and there is no user error such as breakage or liquid damage), we recommend that you first take your device to a Lenovo Authorized Service Center. KTeknik is a specialized laboratory focusing on brand-independent, out-of-warranty products.

The hinge on my IdeaPad is broken; will only the hinge or the entire casing need replacing?

This depends on where the break is located (in the hinge metal or in the screw holes of the lower casing). If the casing is in poor condition, an original casing replacement may be offered; if the damage is only in the plastic housings, a cost-effective and highly durable "hinge housing repair" can be performed using industrial epoxy/heat treatment.

My Lenovo device shut down during a BIOS (Vantage) update, and the screen is not turning on.

Incorrect BIOS updates performed via Lenovo Vantage can brick the system. In our laboratory, the BIOS EPROM chip on the motherboard can be removed/read directly from the motherboard using professional programmers (RT809H/EZP), and a clean BIOS firmware suitable for your device model can be written to recover your device.

My ThinkPad is plugged in but not charging. Is the battery dead?

Don't immediately assume it's a battery failure. Most ThinkPad and IdeaPad models have a "Lenovo Vantage" software that locks the charging "Threshold" at 60% or 80% to protect the battery. Check the software. If the settings are normal, then there's a hardware charging circuit (IC) or battery life issue, which can be determined by measurement.

Does my LOQ device drain the battery during demanding gaming sessions?

In some current high-performance models (e.g., LOQ 15IRH8, etc.), when the included adapter (e.g., 135W) doesn't meet the device's maximum power consumption, the computer compensates by using the battery. Lenovo's current BIOS patches or high-wattage adapter solutions for this are being examined in our service department.
